Do you ever just absolutely NEED deep fried food? It’s a craving I have constantly.
Whether you’re having a tough time with something, maybe you’re a stress eater, or you’re a tad hungover, this fish & chips recipe will be the answer to everything you’re looking for.
My husband requested pub style fish and chips the other day and oddly enough, I was craving the exact same thing. I typically just bread the fish to keep it a bit more healthy but I fell into the category of being “a tad hungover” and a greasy plate of fish and chips sounded AMAZING. This dish is always comforting but making it gluten-free has its challenges. This recipe is a great go-to for your comfort food seeking mood!
I’ve also been planning our trip back to Europe. I want to travel to Amsterdam (we went on our honeymoon and fell in love with the city), England, Scotland, and Ireland. I have a whole game plan for where I want to go but if you have any recommendations for must-stop restaurants or landmarks, PLEASE leave them in the comments! I would love any and all input from those of you who have either traveled to these countries or live in them.
But this recipe, it’s SO easy. You start with a simple batter and you can customize this however you would like!

Heat your oil up to about 350 degrees and place the battered fish in the oil for 5-7 minutes, flipping once half way through.

We toss some potato wedges in the air fryer for the chips with a little olive oil, salt, and everything but the bagel seasoning. Cook on 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes, until fork tender.
